The NT Lived Experience Network will deliver their peer programs 'Recovery Together' and 'Circles of Support' between April and June In Mparntwe/Alice Springs. These two programs are locally created and facilitated by people who have lived experiences and have been trained to support others on their journey.

'Recovery Together' is for people who experience alcohol, drug, gambling and/or mental health challenges. It was first delivered in Alice Springs in 2023 and provides evidence-based tools and strategies that support recovery through discussions and creative activities.

'Circles of Support' is for the family and kin of people who experience alcohol, drug, gambling and/or mental health related challenges. Family and kin will gain connection and knowledge of the experiences impacting their loved one, themselves and other family members. It is designed to support families to maintain their wellbeing and be in a better position to support their loved ones.

We had a great time at World No Tobacco Day 2024 Fun Run today! Over 100 people came out for games, painting, smoothies, and free haircuts. Thanks Central Australian Aboriginal Congress and Alice Springs Town Council for inviting us to be part of such a positive event.

Smoking and vaping have detrimental impacts on our physical health. While nicotine may create an immediate sense of relaxation, research has shown that smoking actually increases anxiety and tension. Need help quitting? Call Quitline on 13 78 48 or text 'call back' to 0482 090 634.
