MHACA is now Open for Business

We’re pleased to announce that our Day to Day Living activities and the Drop In Centre will resume normal opening hours – 8:30am to 3:00pm – from Monday 25 July.

Please continue to use the rear entrance to the building while the front half of our building undergoes repairs over the next 8 to 10 weeks.

As you are aware, our Pathways and Partners In Recovery programs have been operating all through the period following the storm on 17th June 2016, and they continue to do so between 8.30am and 3.00pm.

Our thanks and appreciation for your support, patience and assistance during this period of disruption. We hope that this continues while MHACA undergoes significant repair work in the coming months.

🚨 Call-to-Action to reduce the life expectancy gap for people living with mental health issues 🚨

Equally Well Au campaign urges the NT Health and Mental Health Minister to address ongoing inequities in access to physical healthcare for people living with mental health conditions.

The Call to Action highlights the significant and preventable health disparities faced by people with mental health challenges. Currently, people living with mental health conditions die, on average, 11 years earlier than the general population, often due to preventable physical illnesses. Around 46 lives are lost every day — a tragic and unacceptable outcome driven by discrimination and systemic barriers.

Signatures play a critical role in amplifying this message and strengthening the collective voice calling for change. The more people and organisations who support the campaign, the harder it is to ignore.

NT residents are particularly encouraged to sign as representation from the Northern Territory is currently low.
