Mental Health Worker of the Year

MHACA has been busy celebrating 2018 Mental Health Week. A highlight this year was recognition of the wonderful contribution Kath Broadbent has made to the mental health sector over many years. She was awarded Mental Health Worker of the Year by the Hon. Vicki OHalloran, Administrator of the Northern Territory at Government House on the 10th October 2018.

STRESS LESS IN THE PLAZA IS GOING AHEAD ON FRIDAY!

We're excited to bring our community together tomorrow for Stress Less in the Plaza for Mental Health Week 2026!

📅 Friday 16 October | 10am–1pm
📍 Alice Plaza, Mparntwe/Alice Springs

Come along for a FREE community event for all ages.

🎶 What's happening on the main stage?

• 10am: Event opens
• 10.15am: Welcome to Country and speakers
• 10.45am: Live music by Jamilee Ashenden
• 11.30am: Dance fitness with Charmaine
• 12pm: Live music by Dom Brinkley

🎨 Plus plenty of FREE activities!

• Face painting and arts & crafts with Central Craft
• Virtual Reality (VR) experience
• Free massages by Plaza Wellbeing Centre (11.30am–12.30pm)
• Free T-shirts and hats (10.30am–11.30am)
• Wellbeing tips and information stalls
• 8CCC live broadcast, clowning performance, cupcakes and free fruit!
• Roaming Polaroid photo booth.
