Mental Health Worker of the Year

MHACA has been busy celebrating 2018 Mental Health Week. A highlight this year was recognition of the wonderful contribution Kath Broadbent has made to the mental health sector over many years. She was awarded Mental Health Worker of the Year by the Hon. Vicki OHalloran, Administrator of the Northern Territory at Government House on the 10th October 2018.

This week is National Homelessness Week and the theme this year is Homelessness Action Now!

It is a reminder that homelessness is not inevitable. With the right investment in safe, affordable housing and support services, homelessness can be prevented.

The Northern Territory continues to have the highest rates of homelessness in Australia, with 1 in 25 Territorians accessing a homelessness service last year.
