March Group Activities Calendar

This month we have a new group for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women that creates a safe space to share your story about what is happening currently with your personal mental health journey of recovery. It also gives you the opportunity to meet other women who are going through a similar experience to you.

This week is National Homelessness Week and this year's theme is Homelessness Action Now!

In the Northern Territory, 1 in 25 people received support from a homelessness service last year. Homelessness rates are worse here than anywhere else in Australia. People with mental illness are more at risk of homelessness due to increased vulnerability, difficulty sustaining employment, and withdrawing from friends and family.

Join MHACA, NT Shelter and other local organisations at the Fair Day TOMORROW Friday 8 August 9am - 1pm at the Alice Springs Town Council Chamber Lawns. Come for a free BBQ, a hot cuppa, some live music and a chat with local services that help people transition from homelessness to safe, secure, and stable housing. See you there!
