This week is Transgender Awareness Week (13–19 November) — an opportunity to celebrate the trans and gender diverse community and raise awareness of the challenges many people continue to face.

MHACA acknowledges that many trans and gender diverse people experience higher rates of trauma, rejection, and harm.

In addition to providing visibility, connection, and celebration, #TransgenderAwarenessWeek is also a time for allies to learn more and take action against prejudice, discrimination, and violence.
