World Suicide Prevention Day – Community Walk and Breakfast

7am – 9am on Wednesday 10 September
Sturt Park (opposite Casa Nostra), Mparntwe/Alice Springs
We’re coming together to walk in solidarity, share stories, honor the lives of those we’ve lost and learn how to support each other.
The morning will include a peaceful riverside walk, a shared breakfast, and a special Remembrance Tree where you can write a message for a loved one or hopes for the future. We’ll also have a relaxed Chill Zone and a safe space to connect. All welcome!
Together, we can create hope through action.
This is a collaborative event with Mental Health Association of Central Australia, StandBy Support After Suicide, Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, Thirrilli – Indigenous Suicide Postvention Service. Thank you to Alice Springs Town Council for their support.

This year’s theme Change the Narrative is a reminder to move from silence and stigma towards openness, empathy, and action. Together, we can create a future where people feel heard, supported, and connected — and where more lives are saved and more stories are shared.
