October Group Activities Calendar

Highlights in October include:

  • Mental Health Week:

    • Plant Dyeing Workshop – Monday 13 October from 1pm to 3pm.

    • Stress Less in the Plaza Community Event – Friday 17 October from 10am-1pm.
  • Peer Reference Group – Monday 27 October from 11:30am -12:30pm.

  • Mindfulness Water Movement – Every Wednesday from 10am-11am at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

Weekend activities this month include ten-pin bowling, a BBQ at Telegraph Station, a cinema outing, and a visit to Stanley Chasm.

MHACA will be closed on Wednesday 22 October for an all-staff planning day.

MHACA can also provide individual support and is a registered NDIS provider.

In addition to structured activities,Β a Drop-in Centre is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am – 3pm, and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as music jam, healthy cooking and sports
  • musical instruments

Join us on Thursday 10 September 2026 from 7am on the banks of the Todd River as we come together to walk in solidarity, remember those we’ve lost, share stories and strengthen our connections.

β˜• 7.00am – Free hot cuppa from the coffee van
🚢 7.30am – Remembrance Walk
🌿 8.00am – Welcome to Country | Smoking Ceremony | Speeches
🍳 8.15am – Free breakfast

🌼 Everyone is invited to place a flower on our Remembrance Wall in honour of a loved one.

πŸ“ The walk begins at the corner of Leichhardt Terrace and Parsons Street and follows the banks of the Todd River in a loop.
