December Group Activities Calendar

Highlights in December include:

  • Christmas Decorating at MHACA – Monday 1 December at 10am.
  • DAS Disco at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel – Wednesday 3 December from 6:30pm – 9:30pm.
  • Participant Planning Session โ€“ Monday 8 December from 12pm – 1pm.
  • Christmas Night Market โ€“ Friday 12 December from 5pm – 9pm.
  • Christmas Lunch at MHACA โ€“ Wednesday 17 December from 11:30pm – 1:30pm.
  • Peer Reference Group โ€“ Monday 29 December from 11:30am -12:30pm.
  • Women’s Day Out at Telegraph Station โ€“ Tuesday 30 December from 10am -12pm.

Weekend activities this month include ten-pin bowling, lawn bowls and a picnic and swim at the Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

There won’t be Weekend Activities on Saturday 13 December 2025 and Saturday 3 January 2026.

MHACA will be closed on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 December 2025, and on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 January 2026.

MHACA can also provide individual support and is a registered NDIS provider.

In addition to structured activities,ย a Drop-in Centre is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am โ€“ 3pm, and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as music jam, healthy cooking and sports
  • musical instruments

Women's Safety Services of Central Australia, Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), and Central Australian Women's Legal Service invite you to a free screening of Whatโ€™s Love Got to Do with It. The film explores themes of love, consent, and relationships, and offers a chance to learn, reflect, and connect with others.

All attendees will receive a free item from the candy bar. Counsellors will be available if youโ€™d like support, and there will be a Q&A after the film with Dr Gabby Diplock from SARC.
