February Group Activities Calendar

Highlights in February include:

  • Imparja Cup – Saturday 21 February
    MHACA games will be held from 11:00am–1:00pm and 4:30pm–6:30pm.

  • Healthy Eating Week at MHACA

    • Tuesday 24 February – Make Your Own Smoothie from 10am–11am

    • Wednesday 25 February – Games and Healthy Snacks from 9:30am-10:30am

    • Thursday 26 February – Healthy Breakfast from 9:30am-10:30am

Weekend activities include ten-pin bowling, a cinema outing, a picnic and swim at the Aquatic and Leisure Centre, cricket games at the Imparja Cup, and a morning at the Golf Club Driving Range.

Email intake@mhaca.org.au to enquire about an intake interview, or download the MHACA referral form.

MHACA can also provide individual support and is a registered NDIS provider.

In addition to structured activities, a Drop-in Centre is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am – 3pm, and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as music jam, healthy cooking and sports
  • musical instruments

This week is National Homelessness Week and the theme this year is Homelessness Action Now!

It is a reminder that homelessness is not inevitable. With the right investment in safe, affordable housing and support services, homelessness can be prevented.

The Northern Territory continues to have the highest rates of homelessness in Australia, with 1 in 25 Territorians accessing a homelessness service last year.
