Highlights in May at MHACA

  • Heart Week at MHACA
    Thursday 7 May | 10:30am – 12:30pm
    Information on how to keep your heart healthy, followed by a chair yoga session.
  • Peer Reference Group
    Monday 18 May | 11:30am – 12:30pm
  • Drive and Vibe
    Every Thursday | 1:00pm – 3:00pm
    Come along for a drive and some music. The destination is decided each week.
  • Trivia
    Monday 25 May | 1:00pm – 2:00pm
  • Women’s Group
    Every Tuesday | 10:00am – 12:00pm
    A women-only group providing a safe and supportive space to share your story and connect with others.
  • Banff Mountain Film Festival
    Thursday 14 May | 6:00pm – 10:30pm
  • Soccer at Ross Park
    Monday 11 May | 1:00pm – 3:00pm
  • Footy 4 Life
    Every Wednesday | 10:00am – 12:00pm

Weekend Activities
Ten Pin Bowling, a visit to Stanley Chasm, a barbecue at the Telegraph Station, and a day at the Driving Range.

Please note
MHACA will be closed on Monday 4 May for the public holiday.
There will be no weekend activity on Saturday 16 May.

MHACA can also provide individual support and is a registered NDIS provider.

In addition to structured activities, a Drop-in Centre is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am – 3pm, and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as music jam, healthy cooking and sports
  • musical instruments

Join the Brain Awareness BBQ on Tuesday 11 August at the Alice Springs Town Council Lawns from 11am–1pm.

The event will include a Welcome to Country, short talks from health professionals, live music, community stalls and a free BBQ.
