POSITION: Marketing Officer

SALARY LEVEL: $101,783.76 – 106,393.97 (MHACA EBA/SCHADS Level 5) + 12% super

POSITION HOURS: 38 hours a week. Full time and ongoing. Contract until 30 June 2027 (with possibility to extend dependant on funding confirmation).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Officer is responsible for delivering MHACA’s public communications and marketing strategies. A key focus for the role is to create and deliver content for MHACA’s marketing channels including social media, website, and E-newsletter. The Marketing Officer will review and edit MHACA’s public documents and develop mental health and wellbeing resources. The Marketing Officer is a member of MHACA’s Health Promotion Team and will assist with planning and facilitation of professional network meetings and community engagement events.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication, editing, design and content creation skills who can work with flexibly in a dynamic organisation. An ability to easily develop rapport with people from a range of backgrounds is essential.

It’s a 3-month program offering inclusive, flexible and person-centred support. We welcome people from all backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities and the LGBTQIA+ community.

💚 How we support you
Our team meets people where they are, focusing on safety, connection and recovery. Grounded in lived experience, our approach is based on respect, compassion and genuine care.
Support may include:
• Safety planning
• Help to make or attend appointments
• Referrals to clinical or community services
• A wellness and recovery plan
• Regular check-ins by phone, text or in person (your choice)

💚 For First Nations people:
A dedicated Aftercare Program is available through the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress. Both services work closely together to ensure safe and culturally appropriate referrals.

📩 Referrals
With verbal or written consent, referrals can be made by phone or email. We aim to respond within 24–48 hours (weekdays).

🚨 Important
The NT Aftercare Service is not a crisis service.
