Weekend Activities include Ten Pin Bowling, Beanie Festival and a Movie at the Cinema.

Please Note
MHACA will be closed on Monday 8 June for the public holiday.
There will be no weekend activity on Saturday 6 June.

MHACA can also provide individual support and is a registered NDIS provider.

In addition to structured activities, a Drop-in Centre is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am – 3pm, and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as music jam, healthy cooking and sports
  • musical instruments

MHACA is seeking an experienced Housing and Homelessness Support Worker to assist people living with mental health challenges who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to access and maintain safe and secure accommodation.

The role provides practical, strengths-based support through advocacy, case management, financial planning, living skills education and referrals to other services. The successful candidate will work with participants to identify their goals, develop support plans and address psychosocial barriers to maintaining stable housing.

We are looking for someone with experience in complex case management, an understanding of tenancy management and the homelessness sector, and the ability to build effective relationships with participants and stakeholders. Experience working in a cross-cultural setting or a demonstrated understanding of cultural safety and cultural competence is essential.

Full time and ongoing – 38 hours per week.

Salary $93,201.99 – $100,286.94 (MHACA EBA/SCHADS Level 4) plus 12% super and generous salary sacrifice.

MHACA also offers six weeks annual leave, 11 days personal leave, a $400 annual Wellbeing Allowance, professional development opportunities and flexible, family-friendly workplace policies.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply, and transferable skills will be considered.
