MHACA's Day Program offers participants the chance to hit the road, explore some local sights and enjoy good company.

This time, the group headed to Aileron Roadhouse, an iconic outback stop on the Stuart Highway north of Alice Springs.

Aileron is home to the famous 17-metre-tall Aboriginal warrior statue overlooking the landscape, along with a companion sculpture of a woman and child.

Participants enjoyed a relaxing meal, some dancing to the jukebox and a friendly game of pool.

It was a great day out and about.

MHACAs Day Program o

Today is Blue Knot Day, a national day of action and awareness for adult survivors of complex trauma and the people who support them.

Complex trauma describes repeated or ongoing experiences of abuse, violence or neglect, and the effects these experiences can have. The experiences can occur at any age, or across different ages.

This Blue Knot Day, the focus is on the journey of untangling complex trauma, strand by strand, for creating pathways for growth. Working together, we can make a real difference and build a hopeful future for survivors.
