This half-day workshop prepares anyone, regardless of experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper and connect individuals in crisis with life-saving mental health support.

MHACA is seeking an Activities Officer to join our Health Promotion team. This role will contribute to the delivery of MHACA’s Healthy Bodies Support Healthy Minds strategy, working directly with MHACA participants and supporting activities in the wider community.
The Activities Officer will facilitate group activities for participants, develop resources that promote wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices, and assist with MHACA’s broader health promotion initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced Activities Officer with strong group facilitation skills and the ability to engage people in a wide range of activities. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing information and developing educational resources, excellent communication and administrative skills, and the capacity to build rapport easily with people from diverse backgrounds.

SALARY LEVEL: $101,783.76 – $106,393.97 (MHACA EBA/SCHADS Level 5) + 12.5% super
POSITION HOURS: 3-4 days a week (including some Saturdays). 1-year fixed-term contract (possibility to extend dependent on funding)
