September Group Activities Calendar

Highlights in September include Bird Show and Picnic at the Desert Park on Monday 18 September where MHACA participants can enjoy a day outdoors.

Participants are invited to a planning session at 11am Wednesday 20 September in the Drop-in Centre to discuss activities.

On Wednesday 13 September at 12pm, MHACA will host a guest speaker in the Drop-in Centre to acknowledge World Suicide Prevention Day, with a free healthy lunch.

FOOTY 4 LIFE continues on Wednesdays until Wednesday 20 September. Basketball starts on Wednesday 27 September and will continue throughout the month of October.

MHACA can also provide individual support and is a registered NDIS provider.

In addition to structured activities, a Drop-in Centre is open Monday 8.30am – 1.30pm, Tuesday – Friday from 8.30am to 3.00pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as board games and craft
  • musical instruments
  • laundry and bathroom facilities.

Join us on Thursday 10 September 2026 from 7am on the banks of the Todd River as we come together to walk in solidarity, remember those we’ve lost, share stories and strengthen our connections.

☕ 7.00am – Free hot cuppa from the coffee van
🚶 7.30am – Remembrance Walk
🌿 8.00am – Welcome to Country | Smoking Ceremony | Speeches
🍳 8.15am – Free breakfast

🌼 Everyone is invited to place a flower on our Remembrance Wall in honour of a loved one.

📍 The walk begins at the corner of Leichhardt Terrace and Parsons Street and follows the banks of the Todd River in a loop.
