Stress Less in the Plaza 2024

Over 500 people attended Stress Less in the Plaza on Friday, October 11, and learnt more about how to support their mental health and wellbeing. Attendees enjoyed a dance fit session, free massages, live music, arts and crafts, and other fun activities. 14 local organisations hosted stalls and shared information about the supports people in Mpartnwe/Alice Springs can access.
A special thank you to Kumalie Kngwarraye for the Welcome to Country, Northern Territory PHN, Plaza Wellbeing Centre, Foodbank SA & Central Australia, Reclink Australia, Alice Springs Town Council, Alice Plaza, 8CCC Community Radio 102.1fm – Alice Springs & Tennant Creek and to stakeholders and community members who came and stressed less with us.
Stress Less in the Plaza is the feature event of Mental Health Week. It is organised by MHACA, with the support of partner organisations, the Northern Territory PHN, and Alice Plaza.

This week gives the opportunity to raise awareness about the health and wellbeing of men and boys, while encouraging positive conversations and healthy choices within our communities.
